- Do you see YHWH?
- Do you strive to see the Father?
- Do you see the world as the YHWH does?
- Do you see yourself as the YHWH does?
Do you take the opportunity to see the world outside of your home and in your home? What I mean is do you really see with the same angle/viewpoint as the Lord? Or do you see it as the world sees it? Do you see beauty in all the living creatures? Do you see beauty in even the living creatures that harms?
Just think, a slug can do some nasty damage to lettuce. Those critters are slimy and just plain disgusting. Or are they? Why are they on this planet anyway. We would not eat them, but there are other animals that think slugs are their chocolate. Then think about vultures, or as I call them, “buzzards.” Ugly looking things. But in the beauty of the world and environment they are a needed fowl. They serve a purpose. Now let us talk about inside the walls of our home. Spiders! Those things will make me take a fly swat to them. I have even used hairspray so I would not have to get close enough to end their life. But if you have spiders then you have night-time bugs. So, the creepy spider has a beautiful purpose in keeping your home healthy.
Now let us look at our home in a different light. The four outside walls, the furniture, the paint, the floors. Are we seeing it as the Lord would wish us to see it? Who are we decorating for? Is it to reflect our taste? Is it so that we are staying ‘up with the times’ ? Did we watch a home improvement show that said, ‘this is the trend and you must put it in your home’? Do we spend more time thinking about the next ‘big’ thing to put in our home, or are we thinking about it as our body’s temple? I am not saying as YHWH’s temple, because that is your physical body. Are you trying to make your temple into a show home? I get it, if you have unlimited funds it might be fun to re-do your home. I have never been able to just re-do a whole room, and I was shopping the other day when a sadness came over me. I really wanted to just pull everything out of my living room and start over. That is very normal for any female. It is part of the nesting instinct we have. But did I dwell into sadness? No, I just shrugged it off and said, jokingly, “when I get rich.”
Just with these two examples you can see that we might not always see things as the Father sees them. So, what should we do? Worry about it? Ignore it? Well, if we are seeking a relationship with the I AM, then we should be seeking to see things as He sees them. We should seek that honesty in what we look at. We should seek to see the beauty of each thing. We should most definitely seek to see the face of the Saviour in all we see.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple. …
8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgements, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; …
14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, …
17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
1 Timothy 6
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, …
- So, do you see YHWH?
- Do you strive to see the Saviour?
- Do you see the world as the Father does?
- Do you see yourself as the YHWH does?
Is it important to see the I AM? Is it important to see ourselves as He sees us?
The answer is also a question. Do you strive to spend eternity with Him? Do you think it is a right for you to enter into Heaven? Do you seek the way to spend eternity in Heaven? Your answers determines how you should live your life. Most of us have just a casual relationship with the Father. Believe me, a casual relationship is not getting you anywhere. Just think if the Father would have the same relationship with us, but a strong relationship with others; how jealous we would be. Our YHWH is a jealous God. He hates the unrighteous. [another post]
Now to the questions of “how to see YHWH” and “how to see our selves as He sees us.” I do not know you and your life, but I can tell you one thing for certain. You, like me, have sinned. So, we are seen as unworthy. We must seek out our sin and repent. That is not a laundry list of wrongs, true they are sin but…… We are to seek out our sin that keeps us from seeing as He sees. For each of us that might vary a little, but for each of us it is the lack of faith that the Scriptures are true and the lack of repentance. It also is sharing in the false teaching that abound in the churches today and being complacent with our attitude of ‘self.’ Thereby, the only way to really know if you are seeing things as YHWH sees them, is for you to seek your answers in the Scriptures. The WORD is the true word – if you are reading and allow the Spirit to control your understanding. For does not the Messiah say that not all that say “Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom” in Matthew 7:21.
Stop here for a second and hunt a pen or pencil. The next few sentences are an exercise in thought, and I want you to write down the first things you think after each question.
So, if we are seeing things in the Lords viewpoint what will we see of our self? Write down your answer. Take all the time and words you need.
Next. If you were to sit down and make a list of the reasons you should be in heaven, what would they be? Start with the first things that popped into your mind as you read the sentence.
If you are a little unsure of your answers and/or if you think are not able to see yourself as our Saviour views you, then, might I suggest that you seek answers in the Scriptures.
My prayer for this post is that our eyes be opened to seeing ourselves as the Heavenly Father sees us. That we listen to the whispers the Spirit has been uttering while we read posts and the WORD. That only the words our Heavenly Father wants us to know are given to us. I pray that I can encourage someone to open the Scriptures and become hungry for learning.
