November 2, Exodus 11:2

Exodus 11:2

“ Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.”

Talking about taking this journey by faith, wouldn’t you know that the second post and study will take some thought.  So I had to take a moment and pray.

I came away with Him wanting me to cover “Speak now in the ears of the people” as the part I should work with.  But I know everyone is wondering why God would tell Moses to tell everyone to ask for silver and gold.  And for this writing I could not find any particular reason stated.  So back to the first part of the verse.

God tells us through out the Bible to witness, teach, and spread the gospel and news of Christ.  It is not until every person on this planet has heard, and been given a chance to accept Him as their savior,  will the Lord take his bride to be with Him.  Does that not give you reason enough to share your faith with others?

Matthew 28:19

“ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

How can you speak if you are like me and have no skill at memorizing verses for quoting?  You have heard: “your actions speak louder than any words”, right?  Maybe this is what God wants me to express to you.  Do a full check of your actions, speech, and prayers.  Check out your music, television watching, and how the public sees you.

Also, the word ‘now’  was pressed upon my attention.  It does not say do this just on Sundays, but now!  Why did these words become part of the particular verse for today?  It is about the need to reach everyone at these appointed times.  The end is close, and the need is real.  There seems to be a feeling of anticipation and dread when I read those words.

But after praying again to be guided with the verse, a thought made its way through my frustration.  That thought was if you are here during the tribulation and you do not take the sign of the beast you will be in financial disarray.  The thought was that maybe the only way you can buy and sell is to have jewels of gold and silver stored up for this time of famine.  It almost makes me sick to know that we Christians may have to get to the point of not having funds in a bank but having gold and silver hid away.  The verses below tell us that the beast will control your moneys.  That being said, my prayer is that you be led in the path that He wants for you.  If it means purchasing jewels then so be it.  Speak with the Lord and ask Him what this verse is meant to be for you.

Revelation 12:16

“And he causeth all , both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand , or in their foreheads:

Verse 17

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Thank you Lord, for guiding my mind, prayers, and fingers while writing this post.  For, if it were not for your Spirit being in the room with me, I might have given up.  Amen
